Tourists plan visits during take-offs and tours and everyone loves the leisurely, fun vibe of the Galaxy Hut. But for the team of photographers and producers at Sports Illustrated their visit was much more than just a sight-seeing tour. A support crew of over a dozen people plus the photographers had the job to make Ms. Upton look as amazing as she would here on earth while in Zero Gravity flight.
This wasnt Kates first high budget shoot Annie Liebowitz photographed her for the 100th anniversary cover of Vanity Fair. She appeared on the covers of Vogue, Elle, GQ, Esquire, and many others. Each magazine fighting to trump the issue that came before it.

Sports Illustrated knew that if they wanted something truly special they were going to need to think way out of this world…
After she appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated in 2012, Kates team knew they had to up her game if they were going to sustain her star power. When she was approached with the idea for this shoot there surely had to have been some apprehension. Zero gravity flight can make you feel like you are riding a large roller coaster… It is fun, but it does take a strong stomach.
